Chris Gayle (Full name Christopher Henry Gayle) is a famous cricketer of West Indies Cricket Team.Chris Gayle was born on September 21, 1979 in kingston, Jamaica. He Raised up in Jamiaca. He belongs to Jamaica and also plays domestic cricket for Jamaica. He also palys cricket for international leagues including Bangladesh Premier League, Big Bash League and Indian Premier League, in indian Premier league he represents the Royal Challenger Banglore.Gayle has also set lot of records in his international cricket career, he is also listed in the four players who made two triple centuries in a test. He is famous as a big hitter, while representing RCB he made fastest century on just 30 balls and the highest score 175 not out. Gayle is much famous for his big sixes.He is Allrounder left handed batsman. He lead the team as a captain from 2007 to 2010.

Gayle beginnign as a cricketer was from Lucas Cricket Club in Kingston, Jamaica. He played his debut as a first class cricketer from Jamaica at the age of 19. later he palyed his ODI debut in 1999 against India and T20 debut in 2006 against NewZealand. The beginning of his international career was not so distinguished but later on he established himself and set lot of records, inclding his 1000 runs in the whole year of 2002, made him the third player to set this record after Vivian Richard and Brian Lara. He also face some scandals in the team when he was dropped in a test against South Africa in 2005, where he was involved in a dispute over sponsorship issues, he was restored in the same series and set a record against South Africa, by making tipple century 317 runs. In 2006 Gayle also awarded the Palyer of the Champions Trophy. Gayle record was stunning in the Champions Tophy of 2006, scored three centuries. In T20 World Cup 2007, he made a record of first international hundred in T20 international cricket and became the first batsman to set this record. He scored 117 runs against South Africa. In 2009 world Cup of T20, He also set the record of carrying the bat through the entire inning in T20 format and became the first international player. He also made the fifth fastet century in a test match on just 70 balls against Australia in 2009.
He recenlty made double century against Zimbabwe and set other records on 24th fabruary 2015, in the ICC World cup of 2015. He became the first person to score a double century in the World Cup. His inning consist of 10 fours and 16 sixes, made 215 totsl score in the inning on just 147 balls.
He broke the record of Gary Kristen of South Africa, who scored 188 against UAE in 1996.Gayle with Marlon Samuels set another record of highest ODI partner of any wicket with 371, they broke the record of Rahul Dravid and Tendulker of 331 made against NewZealand in 1999.
T20 Career at other Leagues and Records
Gayle represented Royal Challenger Banglore in the Indian Premier League in 2011, and made his century in the first match against Kolkata Knight Riders follwoing another century against Kings XI Punjab with most of the Sixes in both series.He also scored 37 runs including one run for a No ball, in an over in the next match against Kochi Tuskers Kerala. He was a key player of the RCB, who led to many victories in the series. He was also the runner up of the highest run scorer in the Champions League T20 in 2011 with the average of 42.83 in the series. He also hit the most sixes in 2012 IPL season with 59 sixes in the series.
In the IPL series of 2013, Gayle made the fastet century on just 30 balls against Pune Warriors India, In the same inning he also made a record in IPL of hitting most sixes in an inning.
Gayle faced a dispute over sponsorship issue in 2005. for which he was dropped in the first test against South Africa by the West Indies Cricket Board. In 2009 Gayle was also criticised by the Viv Richards and Gary Sobers, when he refused to become the captain of West Indies team and delivered some harsh comments.Gayle did not paly for a year, when he criticized the West Indies Cricket Board in 2011.
