IMRAN Tahir a Pakistani-born South African cricketer, one of the top leg spinner of One-day International cricket. He is now a top ranked spin bowler of the Protease side and internationally as well.
His full name is Mohammad Imran Tahir, born on 27 March 1979 in Pakistan (Sialkot). Tahir also remained the part of Pakistan A team and Pakistan under 19 team as well, but he couldn’t able to won the place in One day International Cricket Team of Pakistan. Imran Tahir is now the permanent part of Protease cricket team. He is also playing for Highveld Lions in South Africa and Delhi Daredevils in Indian Premiere League.

Mohammad Imran Tahir is a right-handed leg break spinner and right-handed batsman as well. He got solid arms, wrist and muscles, including this, he also especially takes care of his fitness. Domestic Career

Domestic Career of Imran Tahir was a long way struggle to get a place in International career. He played a lot of county matches for Hamshire, and he contributed performances for the county club. Later he joined the Highveld Lions a South African domestic club. He also represented Titans and Dolphins South African domestic teams as well. In early his domestic career he was the part of Lahore Lions a Pakistan local club.

International Career

In the start, he was not eligible to be the part of South Africa National cricket team, as he was not the permanent resident of South Africa. So later on, he met that requirement and became eligible to play for South Africa. Imran Tahir made his ODI debut against West Indies in February 2011 in India, Feroz Shah Kotla stadium. He had done the tremendous performance in his debut match by taking four wickets for giving 41 runs in 10 over’s. Imran Tahir also showed extraordinary performances in test matches as well. He took eight wickets against Pakistan in a test match and helped South Africa to level the series with 1-1.

T2O Career

Imran Tahir t20 performances are very special for South Africa cricket team. He performed numerous awesome performances in t20 format due to which he awarded the best t20 player of the South Africa for the year 2013.

  • Imran Tahir was also selected by ICC s a player of ODI team for year 20 15.
  • Imran Tahir is the only spin bowler who got the best bowling figure for South Africa in t2o International cricket. He had taken 4/21 against Netherlands, after him Johan’s Botha, who took 3/21.
  • He also holds the record of the most wicket taker spin bowler in ICC World Cup for South Africa side.
  • He is the one and only leg spinner of South Africa who got the most wicket as leg spin bowler.
