Joe root biography


Joe Root was born on 30th December 1990 at Dore, Sheffield, South Yorkshire, England. He has a rich cricket background. His grandfather was captain of Rotherham CC in the Yorkshire League. His younger brother, Billy, is currently a MCC young cricketer. Here is the Joe root biography in a short.


Root is the elder son of an English farmer, Matt. He attended King Ecgbert School, Sheffield and at 15 on a cricket sports scholarship. According to Alastair Cook, Root is the 60th player who had played at Bunbury Festival that went on to play for England by 2013 as of June 2014.


Joseph Edward Root (Joe Root) has two sisters, Wanda Root Amanda Root and a younger brother, Billy. He likes to eat Weetabix, chocolate chips and baconsandwich. He got engaged to his girlfriend- Carrie Cottrell. Joe Root is a prankster, both on and off the field. Joe Root as a team-mate of Yorkshire Second team played his first debut match against Derbyshire at Abbeydale on 18 th July, 2007. Root was selected in Under 19 Cricket World Cup, in New Zealand. His unbeaten 70 scores made England go for quarter finals before being eliminated by West Indies.
